I am not sure this apply to your piece. But Have you thought about pushing further? Like different treatment of background or something.(I saw some people from drawing magazine do ) If I do the same thing to my drawings everytime, the result will be expected. I don't know this is good thing or not. Josh would say to me that decision-making is important. This may not work specifically apply to this piece, but it is good to think about.
Yeah, backgrounds are my weakest point, I think. I worked on them a bit in painting classes but have a hard time transferring it to drawing. A lot of my work ends up being single figures in a vast space. Thanks for the input, I'll be keeping it in mind. :)
If it means to do more drawings like this, by all means! :D

ReplyDeleteDo both. Push it to the point of ad nauseum, as well as do more drawings with less. See what happens. :)
